RRB ALP An Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) works under the Loco Pilot (train driver) and helps in operating and managing trains safely. The main responsibility of an ALP is to assist in driving the train, monitor signals, check speed, observe track conditions, and ensure the proper functioning of the locomotive engine and equipment. They also handle minor technical issues during the journey and maintain communication with railway control authorities.
The selection process generally includes CBT-1, CBT-2, CBAT (Aptitude Test), Document Verification, and Medical Test. Candidates must have completed ITI or Diploma in relevant technical trades such as Electrician, Fitter, or Mechanic.
RRB ALP is considered a stable and respected government job with good salary, allowances, job security, and promotion opportunities. With experience and departmental exams, an ALP can be promoted to Senior Assistant Loco Pilot and later to Loco Pilot.

- Duration: 60 minutes
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer
