  • Total Marks: 200 marks.

3. Stage III: Certificate Verification

  2. Odia Language Proficiency: It is mandatory to be able to read, write, and speak Odia. You must have passed the Middle School or Matriculation exam with Odia as a language subject.
  3. Document Accuracy: Ensure that your namefather’s name, and date of birth match exactly with what is printed on your 10th/Matriculation Certificate. Any discrepancy will lead to disqualification during verification.
  4. No Hard Copies: Do not send any physical documents or application printouts to the OSSC office. The entire process is 100% online.
  5. Category Benefits: If claiming SC/ST/SEBC or PwD status, your certificates must be valid and issued by the competent authority of the Government of Odisha. Candidates from other states will be treated as “General.”
  6. Photo & Signature: Upload clear, recent passport-sized photos. Blurred images or non-standard signatures are the #1 reason for application rejection.
  7. Negative Marking: Remember that the Preliminary exam has a 0.25 negative marking penalty for every wrong answer. Guesswork can significantly lower your merit rank.
