Selection Process

The selection process is designed to test both knowledge and practical skills

1. Written Examination

  • This is the primary stage for selection and may be conducted in OMR-based or Computer-Based (CBT) mode.
  • The test consists of 150 multiple-choice questions for a total of 450 marks.
  • Standard: Class 10 (Matriculation) level.

    • Quantitative Aptitude

  • Marking Scheme: You earn +3 marks for every correct answer and lose 1 mark for every incorrect answer. 

2. Preparation of Final Merit List

  • The final merit list is prepared solely based on the marks obtained in the written examination.
  • Tie-Breaking Rules: In case of equal scores, preference is given to the candidate with fewer negative marks, followed by the older candidate (by date of birth). 

3. Document Verification (DV)

  • Shortlisted candidates are called to present original certificates to confirm eligibility.
  • Required Proofs: 10th-grade mark sheet (for age and qualification), category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), and identity documents. 

4. Medical Examination & Appointment

  • Qualified candidates must pass a medical fitness test as per government standards.
  • Upon successful medical clearance and background checks, the final Letter of Appointment is issued for the post in Pay Level-1. 

How to apply

  • Enter your Personal Details (Date of Birth, Gender, Category) and Educational Qualifications starting from the 10th standard onwards.

Step 3: Upload Documents 

Prepare and upload the following scanned documents in the specified formats: 

  • Photograph: Recent colour passport size (less than 50 KB, JPG/JPEG).
  • Signature: Scanned signature (less than 50 KB, JPG/JPEG).
  • Educational & Category Certificates: All mark sheets, certificates, and caste/category proofs must be merged into a single PDF file (less than 5 MB). 

Step 4: Fee Payment

  • Amount: â‚¹500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates.
  • Exemptions: SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Women candidates are exempt from the fee.
  • Method: Pay online via SB Collect or Net Banking.

Note: Keep the Transaction ID or E-receipt, as you must enter these details and upload the receipt in the application form. 

Step 5: Final Submission

  • Review all entered information carefully; no changes are allowed after the final click.
  • Click “Submit” to complete the process.
  • Download and print a copy of the completed application form for your records. You do not need to send a hard copy to the institute by post.
