Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility conditions, including service status, educational qualification, and other departmental requirements.

Age Limit:

This varies for LDCE (departmental) vs. general exams.

  • General (Non-LDCE): Grade C (18-30 years), Grade D (18-27 years).
  • LDCE Specific: Eligibility is based on approved service, e.g., 3 years in Grade D for some, with no fixed upper age limit for eligible employees.

Age Relaxation:

 Available for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) as per government rules, extending the limit. 

Educational Qualification :-

Candidates must possess the educational qualification prescribed for the post of Grade ‘C’ Stenographer

Generally, candidates should:

  • Have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent
  • Possess stenography skill certification as required by their service rules

Stipend / Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be appointed as Grade “C” Stenographers under Central Government services.

  • Pay Level (As per 7th Pay Commission):
  • Pay Level: Level–6 or Level–7 (as per cadre)
  • Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (approx.)
    Basic Pay: ₹35,400 per month

Allowances Include:

  • Dearness Allowance (DA)
    House Rent Allowance (HRA)
    Transport Allowance (TA)
    Other Central Government benefits
