The National Testing Agency has released the online CUET UG 2026 Notification for admission to undergraduate programmes in Central and participating universities. CUET UG 2026 will offer admission to Central, State, Deemed, and Private universities across India through a single entrance exam. The CUET UG Exam 2026 will be conducted from 11th May to 31st May 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. NTA will hold CUET UG 2026 in 13 different languages in India and abroad. The online application process for CUET UG 2026 will remain open from 03 to 30 January 2026 till 11:50 PM.

Age Limit :- No upper age limit, but candidates must meet the age requirements of individual universities

Educational Qualification :-

Passed or appearing in Class 12 from a recognized board with required subjects

  • Minimum Marks :
    • General Category: 50% marks in Class 12
    • SC/ST Category: 45% marks in Class 12

Application Fee

Candidates can choose a maximum of five subjects from all three sections of CUET exam. In order to process the application form, candidates need to pay a certain amount in the form of a CUET application fee. Below are the category-wise CUET UG application fee details depending on the number of subjects opted.

Selection Process

The CUET is an entrance exam for admission to bachelors level courses offered by the participating institutes. The CUET UG admission process is explained below:

CUET Result Evaluation of MCQs in all tests/subjects will be done using final answer keys. The marks obtained by a candidate will determine their result in the CUET UG 2026 exam.
Merit ListAfter the exam is successfully conducted, the authorities will release a merit list on the official CUET website.
MarksCandidates who meet the minimum qualifying marks, as stated in the scorecard, will be selected for the next round of CUET Counselling.
CounsellingCUET Counselling involves assigning seats in courses and universities/institutions of choice. It is conducted separately by each participating university/institute.
Final Admission to UniversitiesThe final admission process occurs after candidates are assigned their courses in the universities of their choice. The admission is confirmed after the CUET counselling session.

The candidates who wish to apply for the CUET UG Exam 2026 must have passed class 12th or equivalent from a recognised university. The eligibility criteria for admission may differ from University to University, so candidates are advised to consult the University’s website for the program to which they are applying. Important points to note about the CUET Eligibility are:

  • There is no age limit to appear for the CUET UG 2026 exam.
  • Candidates who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination, or those who are appearing in the Class 12 exam in 2026, can apply for CUET UG 2026.
  • However, candidates must meet the age requirements and eligibility rules set by the university or institution where they want to take admission.

CUET 2026 Registration Process:-

  1. Go to the CUET UG 2026 official website( cuet.nta.nic.in).
  2. Start your CUET 2026 registration process on the homepage.
  3. Go through the official guidelines and eligibility instructions.
  4. Enter your personal details, communication address, and other required information.
  5. Create a password and select a security question. This will be used for future logins.
  6.  Check all information before final submission.
  7. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and email ID.
  8. Fill in academic details, subject choices, and exam preferences.

Exam Pattern

The CUET UG 2026 exam pattern explains the structure of the examination, marking scheme, and subject choices. Understanding the exam pattern helps candidates plan their preparation in a focused manner. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode with objective-type questions.

CUET UG Answer Key 2026

National Testing Agency will officially released the CUET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key on cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their responses and evaluate their performance after the release.  If students find any discrepancies, they can raise objections by paying a nominal fee per question.

CUET UG Result 2026

CUET UG Result 2026 will be officially declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) soon after the exam. These scores will be used for undergraduate admissions in central, state, and participating universities across India. CUET UG 2026 Cut Off

CUET UG 2026 Seat Allotment Process

Once the CUET UG 2026 results are announced (expected in late July 2026), each participating university begins its independent seat allotment process. Candidates must register separately on the admission portal of each university where they’ll submit their CUET scores, preferences, category details, and pay any counselling fees. Seat allotment is conducted in multiple rounds (typically 3–5), based on parameters like CUET score, rank, category reservation, seat availability, and individual course choices. If a seat is granted in a round, candidates will be notified via the respective university portal, and they must accept the offer by paying a confirmation fee within the specified deadline.
