MPPSC State Service Examination 2026

- Main Examination

Eligibility Criteria:-
Nationality:
* The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
* Some posts may require permanent domicile of Madhya Pradesh as per state government rules.
Educational Qualification:
A graduate degree from a recognized university. Final-year students are eligible to apply but must pass before the Main exam.
Age Limit (as of Jan 1, 2026):
- Non-Uniformed Posts: 21 to 40 years.
- Uniformed Posts (e.g., DSP): 21 to 33 years.

Selection Process:-
1. Preliminary Examination (Screening Stage)
The Prelims serve as a screening test; marks obtained here are not counted in the final merit list.
Format: Offline (OMR-based), objective-type multiple-choice questions.
Papers:
- Paper I (General Studies): 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours.
- Paper II (General Aptitude Test): 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours.
2. Main Examination (Written Stage)
The Mains is a descriptive-type examination.

- Ethics

3. Interview (Personality Test)
The final stage evaluates the candidate’s personality, communication skills, and suitability for administrative roles.
