Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS NORCET 10

To apply for the Nursing Officer post under NORCET 10, candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.

The eligibility conditions are divided into two qualification pathways:

Pathway I – B.Sc. Nursing Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized Institute or University approved by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council

Selection Process of AIIMS NORCET 10

The selection process for AIIMS NORCET 10 (2026) follows a strictly merit-based, three-stage system designed by AIIMS New Delhi. It incorporates the 80:20 gender reservation policy, where 80% of seats are reserved for female candidates and 20% for male candidates. 

Stage 1: NORCET Preliminary (Qualifying)

The Prelims act as a screening test to filter candidates for the main exam. 

  • Format: 100 MCQs | 90 Minutes | 100 Marks.
  • Syllabus: 20 MCQs (General Knowledge & Aptitude) + 80 MCQs (Nursing subjects).
  • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Shortlisting: Candidates equal to 5 times the total number of vacancies in each category will be qualified for Stage 2. 

Stage 2: NORCET Mains (Merit Calculation)

This stage determines your final rank and institute allocation. 

  • Format: 160 MCQs | 180 Minutes | 160 Marks.
