HPCL Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2026–27

Monthly Stipend Details
Selected Graduate Apprentice Trainees will receive:
- ₹20,500 paid by HPCL
- ₹4,500 paid by Government of India via DBT scheme
Total Monthly Stipend: ₹25,000
This stipend is fixed. No additional allowances like housing or travel will be provided.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
2. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Engineering Graduation in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation
- Degree must be recognized by UGC/AICTE/Board of Technical Education
Minimum Marks Required:
- UR/OBC-NC: 60% aggregate marks
- SC/ST/PwBD: 50% aggregate marks
Important Condition:
- Candidates must have completed their engineering degree on or after 01 April 2023
- Candidates who completed before 01 April 2023 are NOT eligible.
3. Age Limit (As on 02-03-2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 25 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
4. Percentage Calculation Rule
- If CGPA/GPA is given, convert it to percentage as per university norms.
- A certificate for CGPA conversion must be submitted during document verification.
- 49.99% will be treated as less than 50%.
5. Not Eligible Candidates
You cannot apply if:
- You have completed apprenticeship previously.
- You are currently undergoing apprenticeship elsewhere.
- You have more than 1 year of work experience.

Selection Process
HPCL follows a merit-based selection process.
Step 1: Application Screening
Applications will be screened based on:
- Academic marks
- Eligibility criteria
- Available training slots
Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
Step 2: Document Verification
- Shortlisted candidates will be called in ratio 1:5 (based on vacancy).
- Intimation will be sent via registered email.
- No TA/DA will be paid.
Step 3: Final Merit List
- Prepared after document verification.
- Only eligible candidates will be included.
Step 4: Apprenticeship Contract
Selected candidates must:
- Accept tripartite apprenticeship contract on NATS portal
- Submit medical certificate
- Complete police verification
Registration on NATS Portal is Mandatory
Candidates must register on:
National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0)
Only candidates registered and approved on NATS will be considered.

Applicants Instructions for HPCL Graduate Apprentice Trainee
The following instructions are based strictly on the official notification issued by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for Engagement of Graduate Apprentice Trainees (Engineering) for the year 2026–27. All applicants are advised to read these instructions carefully before applying.
1. Eligibility & Registration Requirements
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have completed Engineering Graduation in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation on or after 01 April 2023.
- Minimum marks required:
- 60% aggregate for UR/OBC-NC candidates.
- 50% aggregate for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Age limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years as on 02 March 2026 (age relaxation applicable as per government rules).
Applicants must be registered and approved on the NATS 2.0 portal under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). Without valid NATS registration, the candidature will not be considered.
Candidates who:
- Have already undergone apprenticeship training,
- Are currently engaged as apprentices elsewhere, or
- Have one year or more work experience,
are not eligible to apply.
2. Online Application Process
- Applications must be submitted online through the HPCL portal only.
- Candidates must first register using “Sign Up for New Registration.”
- Login credentials will be sent to the registered email ID.
- Only one application is allowed per candidate. Multiple applications will be rejected.
While filling the form:
- Select the correct Engineering Branch from the dropdown.
- Enter accurate personal and contact details.
- Select only one State of Training preference.
- Upload recent passport-size photograph and signature.
- Carefully preview the form before final submission.
After final submission, a confirmation email with the HPCL Application Number will be sent. No hard copy of the application is required to be sent to HPCL.
3. Accuracy of Information
Candidates must ensure that:
- All information entered matches official documents and educational certificates.
- Percentage of marks is calculated correctly as per university norms.
- CGPA/GPA conversion certificate (if applicable) is available for verification.
- Category (UR/SC/ST/OBC-NC/PwBD) is selected correctly. No changes will be allowed after submission.
Furnishing false or incorrect information, suppressing material facts, or mismatch of details during document verification may lead to cancellation of candidature or termination of apprenticeship.
4. Reservation & Category Guidelines
- Reservation benefits will be provided as per Government of India guidelines.

- Caste name must exactly match the Central Government list.
- If certificates are issued in a language other than Hindi/English, a self-certified translated copy must be submitted.
